A classic maxi skirt with a versatile twist. Our Brown Cinching Maxi Skirt is the perfect length for a more historically accurate renaissance faire look (cover those ankles!) But for those who crave versatility (or those on the shorter side!), this skirt can also be cinched up to adjust the length, perfect for keeping your hem out of the dirt and dust, or for creating a layered skirt look as part of your Renaissance Faire costume.
The skirt adjusts from the top waistband where drawstrings are cleverly hidden on the inside of the skirt. Drawstrings in both the front and the back allow you to fully customize the length.

I'm a complete beginner and managed to sew this! The video was super helpful and made it very easy to follow along. It took me about two weeks but I've literally only sewed curtains before.

The shirt is beautiful. I got the Aegean Blue one. I went down a size from what I thought, and it's still too big, but my husband likes it, so we're going to keep it and just order another one in a slightly smaller size. The fabric is heavier than we expected, but in a good way. It's also nice and cool, even though it's long-sleeved, probably because of what it's made of.

it is a really simple pattern but needs information for the ones the needs to shorten or length it for a proper fitting for the stays. I also put in interfacing and extra boning for a more ridge look.
This is a really sturdy skirt and it has the pockets too which is amazing. Bought this for my mom to wear for her ren faire costume and she can’t wait to wear it. The size we got was a tad too big but not huge deal and was more my error than anything in measuring. Would definitely recommend this skirt to anyone in any color because they are well worth it.

I love this skirt! Sturdy, comfortable, and with pockets. Sizing runs a bit big, I’m normally a 2X and a 1X would be fine.
