The blackberry ribbon dress is inspired by folk dresses, pinafores, and dirndls. An easy button up front with bronze snaps make this dress easy to put on, and the adjustable lace up back and shoulder straps allows you to customize the fit. Smocking is built in to the back bodice for a stretchy, form fitting fit.

I wanted to love this dress

I wanted to love this dress and style so much I bought it in all 3 colors, which I am now regretting. Looking at the return policy it is probably not worth returning with restocking fee and the additional shipping costs. However, for me, a larger tall girl, the sizing guide was way off. I ordered a 3x per the sizing guide. I think this was 2 sizes too large. I normally wear an xl so I should have stuck with that. This might not be the case for smaller sizes.

Additionally, the way the straps are fastened to the dress makes it so the metal pieces rotate to vertical rectangles instead of horizontal and that looks weird.

Finally, the size I have is 2 sizes larger than I probably need so I get a little extra length, but tall girls beware, this might be a weird length. Like barely covers the knees kind of length.

I know this sounds harsh. The dress design is so close to being a 4 or 5 but I can't trust the sizing guide, which I was trying to do without judgment about my larger body. I liked the idea of the corset feature because if the dress fit me now, if I lost weight I could continue to wear without alterations. Unfortunately, not the case. I'd be careful with this sizing guide and the company's return policy not to get in a situation were you will spend a bunch of money returning or a bunch of time altering the dress

Wonderfully made dress

Not only did I receive my order on schedule but the fabric is such good quality and the ribbon sewn along the outer edges of the dress is so beautiful. Also love the smocked back along with the corset lacing just over all a wonderful dress.
